Bio

Amanda Warren (she/her/hers) has been working in the Office of Health Promotion since 2017. In her current role as Associate Director, she focuses on outreach development and strategic partnerships. Amanda provides oversight to our signature programs including the Peer Health Educator (PHE) program, Stall Seat Journal (SSJ), and our Creating a Community of Care curriculum for first-year students. Amanda earned her BSED in Health Education from SUNY Cortland and her MS in Health Education from Ithaca College.

While her early career focused on teaching health and curriculum development at the K-12 level, her undergraduate internship in a college health promotion office influenced her to pursue a career in higher education. Amanda has experience teaching undergraduate wellness classes, training and advising peer health educators, and presenting on topics like substance use, bystander intervention, and sexual harm prevention. She is passionate about empowering students to take an active role in their personal wellbeing and inspiring them to find connections between their personal choices and the greater community wellbeing.
