Alex Hall (she/her) has served in many different roles in the Division of Student Affairs since 2010; she is currently serving as an Associate Dean of Students and the director of Care and Support Services.  Alex works alongside all CASS colleagues to support students’ health, well-being, and success through direct intervention, one-on-one student support, and addressing systemic barriers.  Alex also provides strategic leadership for the Care and Support Services team, and views her role as an opportunity to remove barriers for others doing their best work. 

Alex is a proud alumna of the University of Virginia (CLAS, 2010), holds an M.Ed. in College Student Personnel Administration from James Madison University, and will earn her Ed.D. from the University of Virginia’s School of Education and Human Development in May of 2024. 

In addition to her current work as a generalist, Alex has previously worked in areas including Fraternity & Sorority Life, Student Conduct, Orientation, Academic Integrity, and Title IX response, and she applies these prior professional experiences to understand the diverse and holistic student experiences of our students.
