Candace Legan (she/her) joined the Division of Student Affairs in June 2019 as a Case Manager in Housing and Residence Life and transitioned in October 2021 to her current role as an Assistant Dean in Care and Support Services. Candance provides support to students with unmet needs as well as crisis response both during business hours and after-hours in the Dean on Call rotation.

In addition to this direct work with students, Candace works closely with the Care and Support Services Basic Needs Coordinator to address food and housing insecurity, coordinates opportunities for Care and Support Services, Counseling and Psychological Services, and Housing and Residence Life to collaborate on student mental health support, and analyzes internal data to inform best practices and strategic planning. Candace is a proud alumna of the University of Virginia (CLAS, 2017) and completed her Master of Education from Vanderbilt University in 2019.
